On Saturday, July 18, three Swedish rock bands: Sound Delivery, Risky Business, and Satanic Overdrive, performed at Danhagen Live, a new rock club on Vasagatan in Gothenburg. The club opened in the spring of 2026, and it was founded by Henrik Danhage, previously the guitarist for Evergrey, and Mikael Holm from the band S.O.R.M, in collaboration with the restaurant "Hos Per-Jönson." Their goal is to become an established live scene and rock club.
Sound Delivery and Risky Business are both from Alingsås and performed together earlier in July at Kavlåsfestivalen in Alingsås, while Satanic Overdrive is from Gothenburg and, according to their social media, has delivered rock'n'roll since 666. Simon reports that the night was full blast! And that rock is very much alive, despite the long-standing rumor that it is dead. He highly recommends the local scene; many of the bands deliver on the same level as many of the legends.
The really cool photos below are captured by Simon using prisms. The first three photos are from Satanic Overdrive, the next three are from Sound Delivery, and the last three are from Risky Business.
